
Dating Advice: Are Insecurities Relationship Killers?
Everybody has some amount of insecurities. Having insecurities doesn’t necessarily kill a relationship, but I do think if they’re overwhelming insecurities, or triggered too often by your partner, then yes, they have the ability to ruin a relationship.
Keeping insecurities in check is the responsibility of the person who owns the insecurities; however, your partner can help by offering extra TLC and love to your tender parts.
Ultimately, having insecurities can be worked through in a healthy and happy relationship… but if the insecurities are such that the person struggles to love themselves, it will be extremely difficult for them to accept love from others in a healthy manner.
